What Facebook permissions are required to invite another user to my Targetable account?

All users that are added to Targetable need to have Admin access to the Facebook Business Manager account(s), Business Page(s), and Ad Account(s) that are integrated with Targetable. This article will show you how to set up users within Facebook.

The stores in your business integrate with Targetable using a Facebook Business Manager. For each store that you have integrated with Targetable, you will need to make sure that your co-workers have the following permissions:

  1. An Administrative role in the Facebook Business Manager
  2. An Administrative role on the Facebook Business Page
  3. And an Administrative role on the Facebook Ad Account

To add a co-worker via Business Manager:
Step One: On a desktop computer, visit business.facebook.com, and select the business manager for the store that you need to configure for your co-worker.

On the next page, tap the Business Settings button in the upper-right corner:

Step Three: On the next page, you will see that the People tab is selected. Tap the + Add button towards the upper-left corner of the window:

Step Four: Type in the email address for your co-worker and make sure to toggle Admin access to On in the Assign Business Role section, and then tap the Next button:

Step Five: Select the Page(s) that your co-worker will need access to. For each Page, toggle Manage Page to On in the Admin Access section. Remember to do this for each page that you are inviting your co-worker to!

Step Six: Select the Ad Account(s) that your co-worker will need access to. For each Ad Account, toggle Manage Ad Account to On in the Admin Access section. Remember to do this for each Ad Acount that you are inviting your co-worker to!

Step Seven: Click the blue Invite button. 

To upgrade a co-worker's permissions to Admin via Business Manager:
Step One: On a desktop computer, visit business.facebook.com, and select the business manager for the store that you need to configure for your co-worker.

Step Two:
On the next page, tap the Business Settings button in the upper-right corner:

Step Three: On the next page, you will see that the People tab is selected. Select your co-worker from the list and then tap the Edit button in the upper-right corner of the window:

Step Four: Set the Business Manager Role to Admin and tap Update Person:

Step Five: You'll be returned to the Business Settings menu. With your co-worker still selected in the People tab, tap the Add Assets button. 

Step Six: Select the Page(s) that your co-worker will need access to. For each Page, toggle Manage Page to On in the Admin Access section. Remember to do this for each page that you are inviting your co-worker to!

Select the Ad Account(s) that your co-worker will need access to. For each Ad Account, toggle Manage Ad Account to On in the Admin Access section. Remember to do this for each Ad Acount that you are inviting your co-worker to!
